I have noticed that a lot of similarities between the 98-02 Dodge Ram line so this may or may not help. it does not have a replacable fuel filter

use a 1/16 drill bit to drill thru indicator to break bulb. light will not come on when started again

Should have to remove a couple of screws, unbolt the door handle, then lift upward. It is held in by slots.

take it to autozone they will check why the light is on for free

There should be a diagram on the back of the fuse box lid, that tells which fuse is which, in case you didn't check it yet.
