When the abs and air bag indicatir lamps come on, the ac,speedometrt and power windows become inop
I had the same problem after someone tried to steal my 2000 Dodge Ram truck. I replaced the ignition switch and key tumbler, after that, when I turned the key, the key in ignition chime came on, but when I turned the key, it wouldn't crank, turned out to be the 50amp run fuse under the hood, replaced thar, started right up! But then had the abs and airbag lights on, no speedometer, and no power windows or blower motor! Traced that to the 30amp ign/run fuse under the hood. Didn't look bad, but when I took the little plastic cover off the fuse, I could see the hairline break in the link! Replaced that, and now I'm back to normal! Hope this helps someone out there!

i would check your ignition switch inside the colomn this happened to me last week on my ram 1500 left the windows down in the rain, shorted my windows and blower motor/ac/heat, water got into the column and it shorted at the ignition, all that stuff is wired into there also, hope that helps good luck.

SOURCE: abs and air bag light is on
The ABS stands for (Anti-Lock Brake System). The air bag light or SRS stands for (Supplemental Restraint System). The lights are staying on because there is a problem with both systems. They have nothing in common with each other. I suggest you have this looked at by a professional. Working on the SRS can be hazardous so leave that to a pro.
