You either have a short some were or a vacum leak you need to, have your truck hooked up to a diagnostic machine to find out what is causing your problem.
SOURCE: my check engine light is on and traction control
Toyota is known for sensor problems (Especially tire pressure and traction control).
Suggest that you ask your local AutoZone to run a free ODB check on your car and define the specific sensor messages. That may get you in the right direction... or tell you that the chip that collects the data is smoke..... it can happen with excessive heat or voltage spikes.... Good Luck and keep us informed....
SOURCE: Toyota Avalon 2006, I ahve a VSC indicator light
VSC is Vehicle Skid Control. The system is usually on, but when you turn it off (on my mother's 01 Avalon, it's on the knee bolster, below and to the right of the steering column), the indicator comes on in the cluster to let you know it's turned off - it's just a reminder to you that you don't have that safety net activated. The way the car is set up, even if you turn it off, when you shut down the engine and then restart it later, the system is rearmed automatically.
What I'm thinking is, since you've obviously had the engine on and off and the VSC OFF and TC OFF warnings are still illuminated, you probably have a problem with either an ABS sensor, a yaw sensor, or something related to those, as those systems rely on a bunch of sensors to work. If they have failed, it should illuminate the check-engine light. Stop at Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts and have them scan the car's computer (it's free). They'll give you a list of the fault codes that come up. If you post them up here, I can define them for you and help you solve the problem - just post them as a reply or follow-up on this posting.

Whenever
this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating
that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of
lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected
a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM,
SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must
now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and
"scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the
problem(s)
