Short distances become long distances as the defect is ignored every day . It will take less than 2 hours in an accredited work shop to replace the CV joints but if you let it go for what ever reason the cost and time off the road will be very much greater.. This matter must be fixed asap
Most likely the fuel pump. Pumps have many symptoms and this is one. Once the fuel gets warmed up the pump will slow down or just stop. After the fuel cools down, the pump returns to working. Next time it happens use a soft hammer or some like it to hit the bottom of the tank, approximately where the fuel pump is located. This jars the pump and usually it will start back up.. Change the pump.
Sounds very much like your fuel pump is done for. After it runs for a bit it starts to get hot & quiets working once it cooled down it started working again. This is very common but more frequent if fuel in tank is low. It realy will take a fuel system test to verify.
possibilities are connections at battery corroded or loose battery dieing not holding charge alternator not charging battery or starter shorted out or connection problem try to boost vehicle if starts have battery /alternator tested for proper working order
once the car is started it runs off the alternator .. so even if your battery is bad the alternator will still run the car .. so it looks lilke your alternator is bad .. when you jumped the car you charged the battery a little but not enough to keep it going since the alternator is not charging . if you hook up a charger overnight then you might be able to run it long enough to get somewhere (garage) .. try to drive when you dont need lights .. those will run down the battery in a short time .. if you have a volt meter then the battery should read about 13.8 to 14.2 volts when the alternator is working properly (car running) .. if it reads lower (like 12volts or less) then the alternator is not charging .. some auto parts stores will test your system free ..
Same thing happened to me. I took it to the dealer, no choice. They told me that it is the engine. Didn't want to hear that, but I guess I have no choice.
