Should be under the steering wheel like any other car. There is a box. Just open up the box (You may need to pry off the cover with a flat head screw driver). I own a 91 Explorer and there is a diagram right on the back of the cover along with a fuse pulling tool. The owners manual will also have a diagram. Look for the terms "Accessory", "Lighter", "Socket" etc. Any Ford I've ever seen supplies power to the cigarette lighter even when the car isn't running so it will be easy to test.

SOURCE: cigarette lighter not working, already changed fuse

Look in your manual for the Power Distribution Box reference in Roadside Emergencies. It should be located under the hood on the driver's side. My 2002 Explorer has two power points on the center console and the 20A fuses in the Power Distribution Box for them are number 7 and number 9. They cost $3.99 each at AutoZone. The cigar lighter fuse under the dash is unrelated.

SOURCE: charger through cigarette lighter will not work,

First using multimeter check if there's voltage at the cigarette lighter slot as if there is then the problem is in charger, otherwise check for continuity of Cigarette lighter wiring

SOURCE: Cigarette lighter fuse location on Ford Escort ZX2 2002

I had exactly same problem. I could not use my GPS or charge my cell phone.
In front of the driver sit, there are actually 2 fuse boxes. You probably found the first one. A second one is located above well hidden. Once you find it, you'll find the fuse you are looking for.

SOURCE: cigarette lighter fuse location

The cigarette fuse is located in the battery junction box under the hood, it is fuse # 10 and is a 20A fuse, open the hood and find the box it is on the passenger side towards the back of the compartment, it is 10th in line on the top row, also you can check these fuses without removing them through the clear plastic top so that should make things a little easier too, hope this helps

Cigarette lighter in car

The lighter in a Chevy Lumina can get lost easily if you routinely pull it from the socket to plug in electronic devices like GPS systems, cell phone chargers and laptops. If so, you need to replace it.

I need to know where the fuse is located for my 99 chevy Tahoe cigarette lighter/obd port don't have manual

The fuse for the cigarette lighter is fuse #13...20 AMP ,

There is a fuse block under the hood...look for #13 there.

There might be another fuse block under dash bi drivers left foot.

My cigeratte lighter and car charger port dont work just need to know which fuse it is so i can see if it is blown

The fuse for the power outlets/cigarette lighter is located in the rear power distribution box located in the trunk (pictures of location below). Chrysler does not give pictures of the layout but they are numbered. The fuse you are looking for is in the number 18 position and should be a yellow 20 amp fuse. This should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you don't and would like a copy, you can email me at [email protected] with your make, model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy. I hope this helps and good luck.

1993 Mercury Tracer cigarette lighter

I assume that you tried the cigarette lighter itself and didnt rely solely that the charger was working properly. When you tightened the ring on caseing did you see that the wire connected on the back of the lighter was properly attatched, sometimes a good connection loosens up especially if caseing was found to be loose.. Well assuming it was properly connected you could test the circuit with either a multimeter or 12 volt test light if power is found at connection then you problem is definetly the cigarette lighter assembly itself.. I hope this was helpful...Let me know I would appreciate it
