My running lights/dash lights are not working on a 1996 Cherokee

Headlights, brake lights and hazards work fine. I understand this is a fuse, but I cannot find the diagram to replace?

Thank you! I don't have the owner's manual, but I will look for the 20 amp fuse :o)

I looked in a Haynes manual and it showed a 20 amp fuse controlling the the dash/ taillights. I t sould be in the fuse block under the the driver's side dash. If you have your owners manual, there should be a fuse locator diagrahm to help you locate the right 20 amp fuse. Remember usually when your dash lights are out so are your tail lights.

1996 Ford Windstar tail lights and dash lights stopped working

No. All those lights are on the same fuse and are controlled by the headlamp switch.

Make sure that the fuses were all checked on the fuse panel inside the vehicle under the dash. That is where the fuse for those lights is.

Headlights don't work.

There is a circuit breaker inside the headlight switch body. It gets weak over time and use. The breaker is actually mentioned in the owners manual. A new switch is about $75.00 at the local parts store. You must remove the front of the dash to change the switch. Mine would go off and then in about 30 seconds reset and the lights would come back on. I would be driving down the road with my headlights flashing as the circuit breaker opened and closed. New switch = problem fixed.

Jetta headlights not working

Ignition switch will cause you to loose your head lights and turn signals. You will still be able to start the car and hold the switch for your brights but normal function is gone. Check it out it usually only runs about $20-$30 for replacement part but you need a special puller to get to it.

Headlights

You could have 2 bad headlight bulbs.
You have to check the fuses for your dash lights.

Headlights and dash light dont work

You would have to check and see if you are getting any power out of the light switch. There is a seperate wire for the headlights and the dash lights.
