Flooded Hyundia Tiberon 2007

I drove through a flooded intersection with a Hyundia Tiberon 2007. It stalled out - I pushed it out of the water and tried jump starting it with a good battery. Now it's 2 days later and and it won't start. Did I fry something trying to jump start it? I hooked black to negative and not to engine.

SOURCE: Won't start. Engine turns over, but doesn't

CLARIFICATION: Starter 'CRANKS' but engine does not START?... .OK - There's no power steering or power brakes IF the engine is NOT running -- NORMAL condition.... engine MUST be running to ACHIEVE power steering and brakes... fuses have nothing to do with them...they are all MECHANICAL dependent on engine to be running. Did the 'Check Engine' Light come ON? Whenever the 'CHECK ENGINE' light comes on, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) sets a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). These codes identify the particular engine management system which caused the light to come on.
You'll need to use/find an OBDII (On-Board Diagnostic) Scanner to retrieve any code which have been stored in the ECU computer. Afterward, we might be able to help you DIAGNOSE and perhaps eventually fix the problem.

SOURCE: santa fe keeps stalling. dealership cant find

Are you one of those people who TOP OFF the tank when filling up?

When the EVAP recovery system soak with few ounce of gasoline......the trap vapor will take few days escape.

EVAP system is design to handle fuel vapor. Few ounce of gasoline can damage the fuel vapor recovery relay and decrease the service live of the recovery lines.

=========

You can accelerate the process by locating the charcoal canister (near the nose of the car and same side as your gas filler door)

MOVE the car to outdoor.

Disconnect the EVAP line and let it air out by itself.

DO NOT introduce any heat source or fan to speed up the process.

Reconnect this EVAP hose and use a small amount of starting fluid at the intake manifold.

If it is saying code 2, thats not a code to input anything. Its a error code for a hardware malfunction.

My flooded Toyota 2008 water flooded inner lights comes on, but no power at the dashboard and the ignition...help. Many thanks

There is a reason flooded vehicles are always a total. The ECU is likely toast. Replacing that may or may not get it going. If it does, it is only a matter of time before something else fails. You will be chasing electrical problems on this vehicle until the day you sell it or push it over a cliff.

Went thru a flooded road about 8"deep stalled out

You filled the cylinders with water. You will need to remove all the spark plugs and crank the engine with them out, to push out the water. you will also want to replace the air filter as it is probably saturated with water.

Daughter drove car thru flooded area now won't start

It is possible that she either sucked water in to the intake causing your MAF (Mass air flow sensor) to short. Or worst case vapor locked the engine. Hope for MAF. Can you relay some of the symptoms that you are having as in will the engine even turn over? Does it act like it wants to start? It is possible that she shorted the entire system out which could include the ECU.

01 grand am stalled in water now won t start

the engine may have ingested some water through the exhaust. pull the spark plugs and check to see if there is any water in the cylinders, also you need to change your oil as water may have gotten into it.
