Fuse Diagram VW Jetta 2007

I need the fuse box diagram to a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5 Wolfsburg Edition. The car came with an owner's manual but inside of it there are pictures and diagrams that don't look anything like my car. My problem is that once you turn the ignition it turns on like normal (maybe takes a little more effort from the car than usual) and right after it turns on for less than a second, then it just dies and turns off. I KNOW it is a fuse box problem because someone just "fixed" the wiper blades by changing the fuse from one place to another. He can't remember where he got it from (which slot) and I have no guide to use as a reference. The car has 30 small fuses in total. I really need help, I can't even take it to the dealer!!! It's funny but not that funny...

which amp is the wiper slot??? I don't know, nobody does...

  • jazielexposi Dec 13, 2008

Well....The wiper is a 30 amp fuse. I didn't know I could take out fuses with the car still on. I did and that made my life alot easier. My life is a bit crazy now though. I think I went from broken wipers to fixed wipers/broken car. Now the inside of the car smells like gasoline. The car now turns on and stays on, but the transmission won't shift. I try to move the lever from P(arking) to anything and it is totally jammed. I can't move it anywhere. Do I need the actual list of all of the fuse locations or what would be the next logical step in this puzzle involving my car and my nerves. You really are getting me closer to my solution.

    I found the stuff online

My windshield wipers quit working. I found a 30 amp fuse that was blown so I pulled it out to replace and now I am not sure which location I pulled it from. Most fuse boxes are labeled but this one is not. I tried putting the fuse in each empty slot and trying the wipers but none of them worked? Can someone tell me the location of the wiper fuse for a 2007 Jetta?

I'd get a fuse , same amp as what's in the wiper slot and put it in one of the empty slots at a time & try it. When it runs, you found the right spot, right, or is it not that simple?

O.K. so he doesn't remember where he got it from, or what size it was, or where he put it right? Nearest I can tell, the wipers & fuel pump both use a 20 amp.(yellow) . How about, turn on wipers, and start pulling only yellow ones, and see if wipers quit to confirm which one it went to, and verifies it was 20 amp. Then put a 20 amp in empty slots one by one, until engine starts & runs. Are you sure there isn't a card or something in the area of the fuse panel, or on back of cover to help identify whats, what? Anyway, try it & see, we'll get there one way or another. ha-ha

I'd really try to get info on what fuse does what, as it should guide you to what fuse may be related to you condition. Does it have a theft / lock out system, transmission related fuse, etc.? You did have your foot on brake right?

My 12V outlet went out and of course looking at my manual it was not giving the right location.
