I have a 2000 Accord in which I have not needed to change the battery until now. Immeditaly prior, the panic button alarm would start going off as soon as I turn on the car, and there is no way to stop it. We changed the battery thinking this would reset, with no avail. Any advice/help?

Have you tried putting your Valet (original keys) into the ignition and turning it to the II position?

Hello, I had the same problem with my 2001 Maxima. The dealer suggested new key fobs, but the eventual fix was the car battery. When the battery is on the way out, the voltage drop is enough to set it off, just as it would if there was a voltage spike when someone breaks in. I have no problems now!

If you are close to the truck when it happens, try removing the battery from the remote. Some times when remotes are worn, they can send out a constant signal setting off the alarm, unlocking the doors and so on. I would try that first. If it stops, then you verified the remote is the problem
Thanks Jay!
