Replacing dome light door jam switch

SOURCE: 1999 silverado driver door dome light & radio shutoff not working

this is what it looks like it will be mounted on the door jam not on the door just look for it you will find it . it works bye when you open the door it grounds the dome light ground wire to the body. i have fixed thees before it isnt too hard. if the pic does not come up i will put the link under it

the actuator for the dome light is actually located inside the lock mechanism. Have you checked to make sure the dome light override button is in the out position?

SOURCE: dome light will not turn off. I found a door jam

Remove door switches one at a time, as you still have a short. You have checked that the switch on the lamp is in the correct position to allow it to switch off?
