Find the blower resister board that is attached to the air manifold just behind the glove box. It will have a plug attached to it. remove this board from the plastic or cardboard air plunum and check for any coils that are broken. The air traveling through the plunum serves to cool the coils. When the coils break, you loose a motor speed. If the motor is intermittant at any or all speeds, then motor is going bad. JC Witney!

SOURCE: Blower motor has only low speed

You may need to get the correct resistor, as they are designed to only allow so much amperage to go through them. If it is getting very hot it is runnig to many amps through it. It will eventually blow and you will need to replace it anyway.

no your p/s belt just takes is spun by the crank shaft. if its not making noise when you turn the key, then you should check the fuses under the dash and under the hood for ign one of those might be bad.

SOURCE: Heater on 1990 Toyota Camry mysteriously quits

If you mean the blower stops, make sure you have access to the blower. Turn on heater when blower stops check to make sure it still has power which I think it will. This will tell you that the blower motor is going bad and shutting down when it is warmed up. To repair just replace the blower motor.

Heater fan only works on high

this sounds like you need the resistor that allows the blower motor to operate on the different speeds. if you follow the wires from the blower motor back they lead to the resistor that needs replacing. this is a common problem and are designed to only operate on high if the resistors go bad.

A/C BLOWER MOTOR rus slow intermitently at all settings

Could be the blower motor, or the resistor.
I would check the voltage at the blower motor first.
The ground circuit goes thru the resistor and controls the speed.

I have a 1999 camry. The fan only works on high. On high it works well so it's not a motor issue. I've checked the fuses and they are good. Any thoughts?

It sounds like the resistor block for your heater/AC fan has gone bad. Here's a link to a few I found on line for the 1999 camry to give you an idea of the cost. When the resistor block goes bad the motor defaults to its highest setting.

A local autoparts store like autozone should also carry this part. They will also probably be able to give you some advice about how to install it.

I hope this helps you out.

Blower motor on 2000 toyota camry works only on hi settig

Hi!!
The blower motor speeds are ultimately controlled by the Blower Motor Resistor, when the Resistor becomes defective, current goes right thru it and the Blower Motor only operates at max. speed. Replacing the Resistor is a simple task. Locate electrical connector to blower motor, trace back wiring no more than 8" to next plug, The device where the plug is connected to is the Blower Motor Resistor, disconnect plug and remove the two screws, remove and replace Resistor.
Good Luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.
