First off do not listen to Autozone, they are very quick to spend your money, they are screen readers not trained automotive technicians. No fault code with few exceptions tells you exactly what is wrong, it can be the sensor, the wiring to it or the control module (computer) that has the problem. The pressure sensor is inside the transmission a really dirty big job to access, so have a TRAINED technician look into this before any parts are replaced.

SOURCE: I got code PO420 and PO430

Here are the most common problems,

Air leaks at the exhaust manifold or in the exhaust pipes. Catalytic converter is damaged, contaminated or has failed. Front HO2S or rear HO2S is contaminated with fuel or moisture. Front HO2S and/or the rear HO2S is loose in the mounting hole. Front HO2S older (aged) than the rear HO2S (HO2S is lazy)

Your vehicle’s computer system has self-testing capability. When the computer senses that there is a problem with one of the components or sensors it stores the correspondent trouble code(s) in its memory and lights up the "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light to tell you that there is a problem and you need to diagnosed and repaired it. Autozone turning the light off does nothing for you, and is against their company policy. If you do not have the proper tool, reference materials or experience I would take it to a professional. Finding out the trouble code is just he start of the diagnosis process.

Hope this helps.

Would code P084A for a transmission fluid pressure sensor require an $8000 transmission replacement for a 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander?

No they are crooks! The genuine part from Mitsubishi is $120 and it looks like you could do it yourself.

Where is the transmission fluid pressure sensor? The pump pressure switch is located on the transmission housing next to the pump. The switch lets the computer know what the pressure is coming from the pump when the engine is running. The servo pressure switch is located on the housing near a band or servo in the transmission.

Reduce engine power light comes on 2005 buick lacross

The check engine light n or reduced power light comes on when the on-board computer detects a fault in engine driveability or performance, transmission control system or transmission, or the emissions system, and a fault code is set and stored in the computer. Faults that can set the check engine light can range from a vaccuum leak, engine mis-fire, low engine compression, faulty sensor such as O2 sensor or other engine sensor, hydraulic pressure loss in transmission, transmission shift solenoid, open/short in wiring harness, emission evaporative system leak, or one of over a hundred different reasons. The only way to know what set a fault code and turned the check engine light on is to have a diagnostic scanner hooked up to the on-board computer and read it for stored diagnostic fault codes. Many auto parts stores will do this service for free- (like auto zone)check with you local parts stores. If none in your area do, then you will have to take it to a shop and pay to have the computer read for stored fault codes. Without knowing the fault codes numbers, it would be irresponsible to guess as to the cause as there are hundreds of possible causes.

Speed sensor

Hi I'm Peter your code P0720 Output Speed Sensor Circuit Malfunction This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is a generic OBD-II powertrain code. It is considered generic because it applies to all makes and models of vehicles (1996-newer), although specific repair steps may vary depending on the model.
On electronically controlled transmissions, the Output Shaft Speed Sensor (OSS) is located on the end of the transmission before the drive axles or driveshaft to read the speed of the output shaft which may be used to determine shift scheduling, torque converter engagement schedule and Electronic Pressure Control (EPC) inside the transmission. The Powertrain control module / Engine control module (PCM/ECM) has determined there is a malfunction with the OSS sensor. The PCM/ECM may substitute values based on other sensors to determine shift timing, torque converter operation and EPC pressure if the OSS sensor information is unavailable. The OSS sensor is also commonly used for the speedometer. Note: On some vehicles, the OSS sensor is inline with the Transmission Fluid Temperature (TFT) sensor, if there is a failure with the TFT sensor or associated wiring, the OSS sensor may malfunction as well. If there is another code associated with the TFT sensor as well as the OSS sensor, suspect a possible problem with either sensor, or the wiring in between

I have a 2003 GMC Envoy and the check engine light comes on peridically. Auto Zone checked it and Code 0128 was the alleged issue. However, where is the sensor? No one seems to know the location of the...

This code relates to low coolant temperature not the 02 sensors. You should change your thermostat, it's stuck open and is not allowing the engine to properly heat up.

By the way, there are 2 92 sensors on Envoys and Trailblazers. One of them upstream is in the engine compartment right off the exhaust manifold, easy to replace. The other one downstream is next to the transmission drain plug in the exhaust pipe.

Transmission warning ligth on dash board willnt go off

ok if it is indeed a transmission light...does your car drive funny in any way? since it came on? anything at all? some ford transmissions are know to have a falty transmission fluid level sensor. or your transmission is indeed low on transmission fluid. If you know where the transmission dip stick is pull it out with the engine on, wipe off and put it back in, wait a second and pull it out again and compare the actuall fluid level to where it should be according to the dip stick... remember do this with the engine ON that's the most important part of checking trans fluid levels since they work by pressure. If its low and it looks RED ...the fluid is good just need to add some. if the fluid is dark color ( if it's not bright red like blood) then im afraid you might have to go to a transmission shop. NOW if it's red and low go to Auto Zone and have them check the "light" and have them help you find the proper fluid for your specific model and they should help you add the fluid too VERY VERY IMPORTANT to get the right kind of fluid. SECOND VERY IMPORTANT PART..IF your fluid level is GOOD, the color of the fluid is RED (real red like blood nothing else!!!!) no any OTHER SHADE OF RED...RED!!!! ok? and it doesn't drive funny at all keep driving it and just have auto zone check the light ..just to see what its saying that is wrong. dont drive on low fluid.... just straight to autozone or you can damage your transmission.

Service engine soon nissan sentra 1998

HI. This will require you to have the engine CPU scanned for trouble code's. This can only be administered with the assistance of a diagnostic computer scan tool. You can purchase this tool, at your local auto parts store, or you can just have the scan ran at your local auto zone parts store, free of charge. Once the diagnostic scan is administered, you will be able to isolate the issues that have caused the check engine light to illuminate.

This scan tool will display a print out code and the location of the issue, on the engine, as well. There are Many issues that will cause the engine light to illuminate, but the most common cause will be a failed monitoring sensor, or sensor harness failure(separated power wire, or ground).

Once you have the codes, kindly return to the site, and post them here. We will be able to assist with more accuracy, once the codes are posted.

Thanks..
