My 2005 hyundai sonata will not start. When i try to start the car i notice before i even try to start it my hasards come on and i have all elctrical working. It will not even turn over i have replaced the starter and alternator and now i am being told it is my wiring harness to the computer and im tired of getting the run around.
A mechanic would check for voltage at the starter, the neutral safety switch, and the key switch.

its the camshaft position sensor . Its located (atleast on my 1.6L) to the right of the front HOT plate the conection runs between the engine and the right side fan. easier to work on if you take off the air intake thats by the left front side of the battery. you will be working between the fan and the motor. only one bolt but is tricky so u need a 1/4 inch nuckle with a 1/4 extention. once located and you have the right tools it will only take 30 minutes to replace....dont forget to take off negative battery cable before you start.

It comes out through the bottom, lower the rear of the frame and remove the passenger half axle shaft to remove, sorry.

Next time just disconnect the battery until you get it towed as this is a warranty item. I'll bet some wondered if this was a prank question like I did, right?

go to autozone buy a repair manual.its about.$24.00 dollars.it will show you show you how to do your own repair.you go buy the egr valve and tps sensor.now on the egr valve make sure the port in the intake where the egr valve is not stop up with carbon.if so becareful and easy cleaning out the carbon using a piece of clothes rack .clean up the debris.reason so because egr valve is not cheap.i seen them from $250.00 and up.you dont want to buy one if you dont need it.

Mine does the same thing, seems to happen more after a rain storm and will run fine for months, took into our guy he had to replace (sorry had a stroke last week words arent rgiht sometimes) but was a little square modular thing he had to order one so moved one from the ac to their and ir ran fine got the replacement and have been good for months now its doing it again =(
