Why does my Cruise Control light flash when engaging?

I was just in a little fender bender in my car and smashed in the front driver headlight assemble. The brakes were hit pretty hard just seconds before impact. Ever since this happened, Cruise Control won't engage, and the green light just flashes. All the lights have been replaced and are functioning.

Its the brake system.
The flashing light tells you something is wrong with the cruise components. Could be the brake light switch, or the ABS if equipped.

Any idea where I could find the brake light switch or what to look for with the ABS?

The brake light switch for the rear lights is on the brake pedal. You need to have the computer scanned for trouble codes to find out why the light is flashing. My guess is something happened to the brake system that prevents the cruise control from working. You have to be able to disable the cruise by pressing on the brake pedal, and not having that option would keep the cruise from engaging. Its also possible something else was damaged in the wreck.

make sure the previously replaced bulb was the correct one and is installed correctly. it is a short between the tail light circuit and brake light circuit, this could even be a faulty bulb or bulb holder, the cruise will cut out if the brake light comes on, even if you dont touch the brakes

Brake lights stay on even without pressing the brake pedal

Cars these days have electronic switches connected to the computer system, and they operate simply, until a little glitch shows up. In my case, the brake switch plunger strike pad had disintegrated. This little half inch button goes into a metal pad that presses against the brake switch when the brake is released. The cruise control operates the same, both activated by the brake pedal, both found under the dash. If not this, the switch might be bad. Both found at Advance Auto.

Check engine light on, cruise light flashing

As far as the cruise control light flashing, the light is flashing to tell you that the cruise has been disabled. The vehicle's computer will disable the cruise control from working when certain trouble codes are set in the PCM (main computer), which the computer thinks may cause harm with the cruise engaged.
The check engine light may not be connected to the deer hit. I have seen many times when something like this is a coincidence. That being said, the jarring from the deer hit may have caused a vacuum leak. Or perhaps there is more damage than you might think under the hood.

Trac Off, ABS, and VSC indicator lights are on...I was involved in a front end fender bender but nothing major just the fender and bumper damage. but these lights would not go off. 2010 Toyota Sienna LE...

It is very common for all of these lights to come on all at the same time. They are all related to your Antilock Brake and Traction control system. ABS = Antilock Brake System, TRAC OFF = the traction control system is disabled - either because there is a malfunction in the ABS system or you have turned off the traction control button. VSC = Vehicle Skid Control. - (which uses the ABS and the Traction Control to function.)

The most common cause of these lights coming on is one or more defective wheel speed sensors. Although there are many other possible causes as well. Your ABS and Traction Control system must be scanned for fault codes to diagnose the problem. If you had damage to your wheels/axles during your "fender bender" this may have something to do with it. Otherwise it may just be coincidence that part of these systems failed right after your accident.

LIGHTING Headlights REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
  1. Unscrew the Torx retaining screws and remove the headlight bezel.
  2. Remove the headlight bulb retaining screws. These are the screws which hold the retaining ring for the bulb to the front of the car. Do not touch the two headlight aiming screws, at the top and the side of the retaining ring (these screws will have different heads), or the headlight aim will have to be re-adjusted.
  3. Pull the bulb and ring forward, then separate them. Unplug the electrical connector from the rear of the bulb.
