It came up on my gauge yesterday and i do not know what it means or if it could be a problem.
The security is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars like your Roadmaster, there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterprets this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle. This link explains it pretty well. Your system is called VATS or PASSKEY 1. Go to this link. It directs to a company that makes a part that will completely bypass that system 100% every time.

there is a belt tensioner that keeps the belt tight you have to either use a serpentine belt wrench or a breaker bar to move the tensioner to remove the belt. often times you can rent the serpentine belt wrench from a auto parts store like O'Reilly's for a small deposit which you get back after you return the wrench

The relay is on the compressor housing itself. Take the splash shield off of the bottom front driver's side corner. You will see a plastic cube a little larger than an ice cube with about six wires going into it.

you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. Then pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything.

On the inside trim, you can remove screws (these screws may be covered by filler pieces or may be visible, or they may require you pry a plastic piece off that covers the screws) that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect any other wiring that may be attached to the door.
