Replace starter on 2002 GMC Envoy SLT

I wonder if the Immobilizer is related to the door locks and the fuse blowing broke the pairing. Try the reset

Who did the testing & did both the
battery & alternator fail at one time?

Auto Zone has a repair facility & did the work?

What codes are present?

Did anyone look at a data base, to see what
the message your getting was & the solution?

If you mean that the engine won't turn over to allow the car to start then you probably have a dead battery or bad starting motor or relay. Get battery checked to start. If battery is good check that battery voltage goes to starter through relay, relays go bad sometimes. Finally if voltage at starter then it is most likely the starter that is bad.

check fuses... get a 12v test light & see if getting voltage to starter. did you charge battery? check battery connections. did you spill water one cup? 500 gallons?in console? on engine? on ignition switch?

Make sure you have the correct battery in the vehicle and inspect all items relating to the charging system and the battery. The vehicle should charge between 13,5 to 14.5 volts. The condition of the belts is part of this inspection. If all of this is A-ok then get a scanner and pull the codes in the PCM.
Remember once light is illuminated for a item that item no longer works. Once you've gotton to this point let me know and I'll walk you threw it. Hopefully its just a weak or incorrect battery or something along those lines. Good luck and keep me posted

try car to car boost-battery charger may not be working correctly or set on low amp charge -interior lights and dash may all light but battery may not be strong enough to energize starter have battery tested if battery good than check for power to the starter if power-- starter may be shot can remove also and have tested at most auto stores free if no power battery -wiring-or connection issue would need to test fuse panel-ignition switch and starter solenoid

If I remember correctly if you look at the back side of the fuse cover, it should tell you what the fuses are. Also in the owners manual in the index, under fuses, it should give you a diagram of the fuse location for the acc. outlets. Good luck. The fuse should be a 20 or 25A fuse.

did you try turning the key all the way over while moving the gearshift selector through all positions.Sounds like gearshift linkage may need adjusted.

If your 2002 gmc envoy or sierra will not even turn over with a kown good battery try starting it in nuetral then go back to park and try starting again. There is a park nuetral safety switch that can malfunction. Turn the key on then shift into nuetral, then turn fully to start.
