There is a clip the holds the clutch cable to the shift. Sounds like it broke. There was a recall awhile back to replace the plastic clip with a metal one.
it usually means you are due for an oil change unless the last place that changed oil did not reset the light. Some Odometer displays will show you the oil life when you switch through the displays.
Just bought a 2013 dodge avenger, literally yesterday. Test drove fine twice,, drove all over town for license and registration, multiple erands. No problems. I got to work and went to leave for lunch and was introduced to the no bus code. Left me stranded the very day i purchased it,, only 25000 miles. Is this problem simple enough to weather or is this the brightest red flag to take it back?
my manual tells me that DECK showing in the odometer window (it's a light that lights up), means the Trunk is open.
it's like a warning light that the trunk is not closed completely.
I verified this myself.
mine does that too, somtimes im parked on as angle and it comes on. Sometimes i am driving down the highway and the light comes on. If you find out why let me know
To reset your maintenance reminder system (even if the light hasn’t come on yet), you’ll need to turn your key to on (but don’t start!) and make sure your odometer is on TRIP A. Then key off. Press and hold the Odometer/Trip button. While holding down on the button, key the ignition to on (Don’t start the engine!) The display panel will count down from “------“ to “-“Continue pressing the button until the Trip A is displayed. After this step, you are done.
