I have just had the same problem but solved it.
Firstly, I went to Halfords and purchased a spray tin of Bradex Easy Start.
Then loosen off the air filter cover and give a quick spray inside.
Turn the engine over and bingo, it should start.
What you need to look for is whether the smoke from the exhaust is white. If it is, there is too much unburnt fuek in the engine and the problem lies with the glow plus.
My 2001 hyundai santefe won't start. I diagnosed it and had this code, P0340 camshaft position sensor mulfunction, I checked the wiring system, replaced the cam sensor, but still keep having the same code. can anybody help me out?
secondly there is no current to the injectors. What do i need to do
I changed the glow plugs and that solved the problem

I have same problem: Santa Fe 03 plate, manual, diesel, GSi CRTD
Hyundai are useless - their stock solution is I have to get it looked over by a dealer
!! Easystart is a short-term fix and I've been told longterm use will damage the engine !!
There doesn't seem to be a pattern to it not starting (although the probability seems to be higher after a very cold night)
My glowplugs were changed -- an injector was changed after failing a back-leakage test -- the seals on the pressure regulator were replaced and the crankshaft sensor connector cleaned -- the fuel pressure was found to be weak and the OEM fuel filter was found to be defective (which Hyundai admitted was a known issue with the Kia Sorento and yet they didn't care about it) and full of dirt so the fuel filter was replaced and the tank drained and cleaned
After each of these the car started for a few days then reverted to not starting again
Any help VERY much appreciated :)
