Land Rover Discovery 2 Spark plug diagram needed.

I reciently helped a friend in replacing all of the spark plugs and wires in her landrover. However we did change them one at a time I just couldn`t be the one removing the wires from the coil due to lack of room! So i`m not sure if anything was switched or not! i am unable to find the schematics for the spark plugs so your my last choice!

If you have not removed any wiring yet,why not draw one out for your use ! You can number the wires,or tape them with masking tape then mark them, and to the cylinders, in order of firing or in front to rear on one bank left or right and to the coil towers with a white marker.or a card board template with numbered positions for the wires to hook up to the correct towers. Or just change them one at a time.

SOURCE: spark plug location on ignition

If you have individual cylinder coil pack, remove the coil pack and the spark plug will be under it. There is a spark plug boot on the bottom of the pack that plugs directly onto the spark plug.

As I accelerate my 2000 Discovery II Landrover, I get a vibration. It is not all the time, only at certain speeds... Is this a transmission problem or could it be simply spark plug/wire's mis firing? Can...

It may be your tires, either a weight has come off or the belts are starting to seperate. I am sure if you took it to a tire shop they could check them out for you. Usually, if it is a miss fire your engine check light will light. As far as replacing the plugs and wires it is fairly simple as long as you have the right tools and do one at a time it is possible to do it yourself. Hope this helped Tim

Engine is not running after spark plugs and cables changed.

I assume it was running before you changed the plugs and wires, verify you didnt disconnect accidently another wire such as a crank position sensor or an oxygen sensor on or near exhaust manifold
also check the wire firing order make sure that is correct...

Fuel supply problem in 1998 Landrover Discovery. 3.9 V8

not likely a fuel issue,
try running it in the dark of night , no lighting and look for sparks ,
have the ignition coil tested , be sure it has good ground.
pull each plug and watch the spark ,does it maintain the blue long arc.
tune a am/fm radio to the sparks ignition sound an listen to it
a portable walkman can lead you to the faulty spark,
or just have them monitor the spark at the shop.
