2008 Land Rover LR2, electronic keys will not lock/unlock doors.

I have a 2008 Land Rover LR2. Both sets of electronic keys will no longer lock/unlock the doors. Thought the key might need a new battery, wrong. LR told me the keys do not have batteries and they recharge while in the ignition. Told them the problem, their answer was to buy a new $500 key. You got to be kidding me. Any ideas?

SOURCE: radio unlock code for 1998 land rover discovery

Give the dealership your VIN# and they will in turn provide you with an 'unlock' code. Input the code and you should have radio. If not, you will need to remove the radio and give the dealer the chassis # found on the case.

SOURCE: 1997 Land Rover Discovery II windshield wiper stop working

It sounds lilke the wipers are just going through the "park routine": one swipe and stop.

The melted part is the end of a wiring harness. But replacing this will not solve the problem. It sounds like you have a bad wiper motor which is pulling too much current and overheating.

There are switches on the wiper motor which probably have burned out and the only one left working is the park switch.

SOURCE: land rover discovery central locking.

No, likely to be caused by the actuators in the lock mechanism failing usually causing the door to remain locked. The boor door can also fail this way, as do the front side doors. Replacement requires the whole lock unit to be replaced at a cost of roughly £60 a lock, and a hours work. Helps if you have small hands. Requires a full strip down of the door and you will need the lock unit, trim clips (a few quid) and a trim removal tool (tenner). You can bodge with a flat head screwdriver, but the tool does help prevent damage to the clips & trim panel.

Does the key fob for 2009 Land Rover have a battery?

Yes it has a battery, two possibilities a rechargeable one, or a 2032. if you have the full black plastic cased fob it is a rechargeable battery. (most likely version)

to replace that will require some deft soldering skills. may writes ups available on multiple Land rover message boards

How to bleed the air out of a power steering pump for a 2008 land rover lr2.

try turning from lock to lock with the engine running. any air trapped is expelled back to the reservoir by turning the wheel to full locks.

I have problem the key FOB can't inserted to the key slot for ignition. before i was thought because of the battere is low, then i tried with the spare one, but it is the same problem. it won't accepted...

This sounds like a non FOB issue, if the internal FOB battery is dead it will still start and run the truck just not unlock the doors/hatch. Check your battery and connections.
