SOURCE: just bought a 92 maxima se and it slightly clunks

I'd start with a fluid & filter change just in case that's all that's needed. Who knows when & if that has ever been done, and it's real good, least expensive way to start.

SOURCE: 92 NISSAN MAXIMA SE . CLUTCH SLIPS WHEN CAR GET

either the clutch operating arm has no free play so its over adjusted which is my first suspect ,or the clutch itself is no good and the spring is weak ,now was this a new clutch from a motor factor or a scrapyard job

SOURCE: my 92 maxima se just died as i was driving it.i

could be a fuel pump. hammer on the gas tank and see if it tries to start. if not then spray carb cleaner or starting fluid into the air intake and see if it starts and runs for a few seconds if so your looking at a bad fuel pump most likely.

No power from take off, sluggish

Changed your fuel filter lately? Deisel motors take a regular filter change as they collect water in the fuel and become clogged leading to bad performance and eventualy a no start condition.

92 maxima jerking an sputtering does not stall what could this be

It could be one or a combination of a few things. 1.) There could be moisture in the gas. 2.) A bad fuel filter. 3.) If you seem to lose power as you're driving, it could be your converter. I would check the fuel filter first.

92 nissan maxima does it have a timing chain or timing belt?

There were 2 engines used. The VG30E(GXE version) and the VE30DE(on the 92-94 SE versions). The VG30E has a timing belt and the VE30DE has a timing chain.

Overdrive light and airbag/abs lights flashing

Sounds like an ECM going out. The systems being effected are not related and usually only connected though the ECM. Have it checked at the dealer.
