SOURCE: How do you access the spark plugs 2002 mercury mountaineer

IIRC these are a coil over design. meaning the coil is over the plug. the coil should have one 8mm bolt holding it on the lower intake manifold. remove the coild to get to the spark plugs. look by the fuel injectors, coil should be just next to it or very close. coil usually says motorcraft on it and circle in design.

good luck

SOURCE: 2002 mercury mountaineer 4.0 starter relay location

The power distribution box is
located in the engine compartment.
The power distribution box contains
high-current fuses that protect your
vehicle’s main electrical systems
from overloads.
The starter relay is in position #56 of that box.

SOURCE: 1999 Mercury Mountaineer, heater/AC fan no longer blowing

I would check the fan first disconnect the electrical connectors on it and use a pair of home made jumper cables and run it from the battery. If it works move unto relay if it doesn't you've found the culprit.
Next check relay in the fuse box. Coolant tempertant switch(CTS) aka thermal switch and its circuit. CTS is usually located in the water jacket by the t-stat.

Does the rear HVAC in a 2006 mercury mountaineer premier use the same Freon from front ac?

The AC system front and rear work off the one compressor so yes front and rear use the same Freon.
The front and rear have separate evaporator coils and expansion valves however.

Air does not blow cold even in max

Assuming that you can feel (or see) the compressor come online, it may be time for a freon recharge.

AC blows hot air but AC compressor works

if the compressor works and your freon is charged it may be the blower flapper door....disconnect battery for 10 minutes and then re-connect to reset the electronics that control the flapper

Where is the recharge valve,to add freon on a ford escape 2002

should be located on the left side of the engine. You should see what I refer to as an AC dryer. There should be a place for adding freon.
