SOURCE: Pasenger side door windows will not operate. Front one stuck open

I have a 99 Kia Sportage that had the exact same problem. You can fix the switches without having to spend ANY money to replace them! You first have to remove the door panel. Disconnect the wires going to the switch and then remove the switch from the panel. Remove all the screws from the bottom of the switch, including the ones holding the metal clips. Then carefully pry each side upwards from the locking tabs and pull the switch apart. BE CAREFUL not to lose the little metal rockers inside the switch! Now all you have to do is clean all the contacts and rockers with a brass wire brush, or fine sanpaper, (or even a good ink eraser will work). Then put the switch back together, reinstall it, and test it out! You'll be back in business and didn't spend a dime! I did this with my 98 Ford Windstar, too.

SOURCE: kia rio stuck driver seat

There is a wire rod that releases the seat for adjustment, look under the seat and see if it has come off.

Do the rear seats in a 2003 Kia Rio lay down? If they do... how do I do it?

Yes they do

Open the back trunk, look near the top of the trunk, and pull the two black levers. They have a seat folding down symbol. That will release the locks.

2002 Kia Rio with Manual locks My passenger side door won't lock/unlock; with/without key, or even open at all. And I haven't ever been able to lock/unlock, that door with the key but the door was opening...

I too have had the same issues with my 2004 Kia Rio. I personally believe that this should have been a recall in the door locks. I went to a pick and pull and retrieved the drivers side and passengers side locking mechanism from both doors (not the locks themselves because I needed to use the same key) and one worked like a charm and the other didnt. I since have went back and got another one and that one stopped working correctly. It seems that this a major issue with these cars.

My passenger side seat belt on my 2000 ford taurus se is locked and i cant retract it. how do i fix this problem with buying a new seat belt retractor

of course it possible to access this retractor , you just need to locate the small round circles in the lower part of trim and gently pry the covers off , screws will be evedent , you will need a 6 mm star (five sided) drive socket wrench to remove the retractor though

Why wont my Nissan drivers seat move forward and back?

check for the release wire fully releasing the lock on that side. when you pull on the release lever it is to pull both release locks so the seat will move.

Driver door jammed wont open from in, out or with key (Kia Rio 2005)

are you sure the seat belt isnt jamed in it? or something else ? if so you got to push in as you lift handle then pull out, thats what works with mine. if thats not the problem something probley broke or came loose going to have to remove door panel to fix , and yes its going to be a job and yes you will be cursing. got to push driver seat front back and back rest all the way down and all the way up to get to all the screws and or pop outs, personaly i dont know how yours comes off. but ive had the same problem with a couple of other cars ive owned.

Cant open right rear pasenger door 2005 pathfinder

i started by removing ashtray and the screw underneath. it would be easier to remove rear seat as access is not so good to move around. wind window down, then carefully pull from top of trim, it should come away fairly easy. the trim is held on by push in clips but you need to careful as they break easy. behind the inside door handle is a plastic backing plate which i found easier to remove first. now the outside handle can be undone and i simply pulled the cable and the door opened. the cable was broken where it joins the handle so a new cable is needed.

1999 Dodge 2500 passenger side seat belt wont release

so after completely tearing the seat apart I found 2 wires going up to the seat belt mechanism from under the seat, these wires got caught in the seat mechanism underneath and were shredded. There must be a small solenoid inside the seat belt mechanism because I could hear it click after I repaired the wires(this circuit is live even with the ignition off) Im not sure how it all works but this solved my problem.
