My heater is blowing out cold air, sometimes at high speeds such as 70 mph it blows out warm air, but for the most part it is like running the a/c and the same with the defrost, it blows cold air.

    no heat

My 04 Sorento only blows out cold air also. Sometimes when you're at a steady speed it will heat up, but it's usually always cold!

I have a 2004 Sorento that I love. All of a sudden the heater is blowing cold. Will not defrost or heat. The air conditioner works fine just no heat or defrost.

2003 Sorento- Heater and defroster blow cold air most of the time. Above 2200 RPM, seems better. Intake gasket recall work was done in Fall - not sure if there is a connection. Blower is blowing steady stream of air- not a blower fan problem.

I had a similar problem with AC & Heater fan,it works on and off, and sometimes if the road was rough it runs, So I had to remove the fan clean it with a blower from dust and debris, then I installed it back and it is running ever since for more than a year without having to replace it.

No heat from the heater of a 2004 Kia Sorento EX

check your heater controls , there may be a cable lose or broken, or a vacume hose lose or broken,i don't know if that car has a heat control valve, but if it does you might check that as well.
hope this helps!

My 2004 Kia Optima rear defrost quit working. also, washer fluid squirters just stopped working - wipers work fine just won't squirt.

if it is cold, then your washer fluid has frozen in the lines. it will work again when it gets above 32 degrees. if you buy the 1.29 a gallon brown winter stuff instead of the .89 a gallon blue summer stuff you will have better luck next cold snap

2004 KIA Sorento, heater problems

Hi. I just had the same problem after I took my 05 sorento in for service. I called the shop back and they told me the system had to be burped after the coolant level gets low( they neglected to refill my system at the dealership also). To do this you must fill the coolant tank to the proper level, park the vehicle on an incline(with the front of the vehicle being highest), and allow vehicle to heat up with the heat on. it worked for my 05.
