So to by pass the heater core i need to raise the car and do it from underneath....cant seem to find where they go thru the firewall so i am assuming they are on the underside of the firewall

I have not worked on your model. I think you will find the heater supply and return on the passenger side near the top of the fire wall. Two 3/4 or 1 inch hoses. Hoses will come from neat the water pump to the fire wall. I presume your core is leaking and that is why you want to by pass it.

I hope this helps you with your problem on your Pontiac. Thanks for your question @ FixYa.com

Pontiac sunbird 1993 using excess coolent, no visual sign of exterior leaking

check your oil. If it is a mliky colour - or is more full than it should be - you may have a cracked block, leaking head gasket ? If so a leak down test will give you an answer. A rad pressure test and/or a compression test would also help find a potetial problem at this point.

1990 Sunbird: need to know where firewall relay is located...

If you open your hood ,on the drivers side of your car on the firewall almost in line with the steering wheel you should see a little black box with some wires hanging out the bottom. It will most likely say BOSCH on it.

Pontiac sunbird 1993 2.0l that has a anti freeze leak from the hose at the bottom of the engine ,the one closest to the fire wall it is on the right side

This could be from the hose that goes from your engine to your heater. I don't know the layout of the sunbird but if you are sure that it is antifreeze that's what it should be. You'll need to get another hose and replace the bad one. Good luck!

My 1991 pontiac sunbird is leaking antifreeze. It

Age of vehicle determines that you get a replacement hose and clips first. Drain down the Coolant into a container, replace the hose, and refill, remembering you are going to loose coolant by spillage on the drain down.

Coolent leak

If you can get acces to coolant system pressurizing kit, pressurize the system with engine cold and look for leaks. The area you are describing is a cramped on on this car and the cooling system plumbing is a bit complex. You may have to raise and support the front of you car to get underneath to get a good look at the heater hoses and crossover piping. Down under the alternator is also a small bypass hose that is difficult to check. Putting pressure on the system should point you in the right place though.

My 93 sunbird is leaking antifreeze from the firewall on the drivers side

The heater core is located there just under the dash in the plastic enclosure. AC parts may also be there. Remove the heater enclosure to expose the core. You will have to disconnect the heater hoses from the engine to remove the core and enclosure. Then inspect the core for the leak, usually at a line connection.
The core can then be soldered or sent to a radiator shop for repair. You should have some expertise in repair to attempt this job on your own, otherwise take it to the shop. Some people would try radiator stop leak since the heater core is part of your cooling system, but I wouldn't recommend it. Remember to replace the anti freeze when you are done.
