According to Nissan, each cylinder has a valve in the intake manifold to control the air volume in the intake. The code is for one of the swirl control valve solenoids.
Code 443 is for the EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid which is a part the computer uses to vent the gas tank.
I would recommend a shop for both codes.

SOURCE: Auto Transmission problem

hi do the simple bits first check the fliud level in the box see if its a clear redish colour if any other colour you have a box problem second when was the last time you chaged the boxes oil and filter a blocked filter will cause your problem then the box itself first clutch could be slipping put the box in first gear chock your wheels up put the handbrake on put your foot on the brake pedal start the engine and rev with your other foot and see when the car stalls it should be around 2500 and 3000 revs if its higher than this the clutch is slipping on that gear after this you will need to take it for pressure testing yates210456

SOURCE: Pls where is Swirl Control Solenoid Valve located in Infiniti QX4

This link shows the location of the SCV, If your motor is different the location should be similiar. http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/5687/vacuumdiagramuh3.jpg

There's a vaccuum line that runs off the SCV to the SCV check switch.

P0442: Have you inspected the lines, charcoal cannister etc? Make sure the fuel cap is tight. The easiest way to check the system is to have someone perform a smoke test. I had a DTC on my car which indicated a EVAP problem, it turned out to be the Fuel tank evaporator Control Solenoid.

Spradic problem

Try to have the mechanic look for "downshift kickdown" service info. When you are driving and the cars computer senses a load that is beyond the limit of the present gear, the car will downshift into a lower gear to match the load.
The inbetween gear time is when the RPM rises because the gears want to change and the transmission has not caught up with the engine.
Some of this can be adjusted with the hydraulic pressure in the transmission. The torque converter supplies the pressure and the rebuilt trans needs to be matched with the torque converter.
Go back to the trans shop.

2nd gear crunch

first of all you shouldn't be reving that high to change gears. that's too high. secondly if it's grinding only during the change from 1st to 2nd gear you may have a problem with the gears not being aligned anymore...ie synchronizers worn out, bearings worn out, etc. take to reputable transmission shop to get it diagnosed and repaired. it sounds like the synchronizers are a problem there. and you may have metal in your fluid now that it's been grinding which will affect the rest of the transmission. if you are speed shifting as in racing, you are not doing your transmission any good. you probably don't have a transmission built to do that if it's the original factory tranny... meaning you did a major NO NO to your tranny and are tearing it up speed shifting when it isn't built for racing.
