My 98 chev 1500 vortec 5.0l cranks but wont start have spark

Have spark,proper fuel pressure and ive checked all fuses for power,tried replacing the ignition moduel ,but same result,please help

    New gas in mine also will try to hit but just wont crank and run.

    I have the same problem. Good spark and fuel. Sprayed either in snorcle. It did not try to sputer. I also have a fully charged batery.

    i have the same problem my is vortec 5.7 it cranks but wont start have spark and proper fuel level any solutions please.

    i just rebuilt a 5.0l vortex out of a 1998 GMC. and it turns over but will not start i know i got proper fuel pressure just replaced pump i have spark and everythign but it will not run.

Got the same issue until I replace the crank positioning sensor. If the sensor is defective there wont be signal for the injector to spray. Easy fix.

Does it have spark at the spark plug's ? Does it have fuel pressure ? Is the anti-theft light on ? Have you check ASD relay in the under hood fuse/relay box ? There are videos on youtube diagnosing engine cranks no start condition .

2000 GMC s10 4.3 v6 vortec wont start. Turns over but wont start please give all reasons why it wont. Ive replaced fuel filter, spark plugs are fine, fuel pump works,
Check spark at the spark plug by putting a screw driver up the cover hold it close to an earth and get some one to crank it over ,the spark should jump to earth.

HaVE A 96 1500 PICK UP WITH V6 VORTEC, GETTING ONTO FWY TRUCK DIED. NOW IT WILL CRANK OVER, HAVE SPARK AND FUEL TO CARB. WONT START. IF I POUR FUEL INTO CARB IT WILL RUN. ANYIDEAS IAM SITTING ON FWY NOW
Sounds like you lost a fuel pump, although they usually don't quit while being driven. Have it towed and get a fuel pressure check. That vehicle has to have very close to 60 psi fuel pressure to run. Have a new fuel filter installed also. Plugged fuel filters are the most common cause of fuel pump failure.

My jimmy wont start have 58 psi of fuel pressure good spark but the spider injection wont open to spary the fuel brand new 280 bucks for it have checked grounds two broken one fixed those still no start...
check your ecm-ign fuse.if it is ok check to see if you have power to your spider injector.if you have power, you either have a bad computer or a bad connection between the computer and the inj.do you have spark??.if you have no spark check your ign module or bad connection at the ign module.i have seen that before.

I have a 2001 chevy silverado 1500 with a 4800 vortec engine. it starts and idels fine but when ever i give it gas, the engine starts to sputter and dies. ive already changed the fuel filter and spark plug...
This sounds llike weak feul pressure, the fuelpump may need replacing, the first thing to do is have the fuel pressure tested and if the pressure is low then have the pump replaced. the pump is located inside the fuel tank and the tank will need to be dropped to replace the pump, good luck ,

Engine cranks but wont start
Usually if no rpm signal, the vehicle won't start. Engine cranking, did you check for spark at the spark plugs? The fuel pressure you listed may have been the initial prime. It sounds like no injector pulse. The rpm signal comes from crank sensor. If your missing rpm signal, may thought is the crank sensor.
Were there any applicable trouble codes?

how many miles on your truck , if you have high miles200,000 + need to check timing chain and gears , compression , are the spark plugs getting wet with fuel ( this will indicated wether or not injectors are firing ) Do you have a scanner available , and are you getting any codes .
