Dash light saying traction active comes on when you sharp turn
SOURCE: Error Code-Traction Active
You have a bad traction sensor, I wold take it to the dealer an have them pul the trouble code to find the problem.
SOURCE: traction active light
you have an ABS sensor that is miss reporting in a turn and causing the ABS to activate. You will need a scan tool to watch the wheel speed data and look for the one that is dropping out
SOURCE: why does my traction active & service traction
most likely a bad wheel speed sensor
have a technician drive it with a scan tool and monitor all VSS
I suspect one if off
You can also confirm this buy trying to lock up the brakes in a safe location
if ABS activates early/late or not at all this too is a sign of a VSS concern

i have had this problem since about 6 months after i bought my 2001 impala. the problem is in the hubs. the wireing that runs throw them rubs together and eventually shorts the traction and abs. easy solution to fix it though. get into the hubs and wrap the wires. otherwise take the car in and explain the problem to them and exactly what you need done. 9-10 times they won't fix the problem unless you tell them what you want done. it is really simple and going to the dealer should only cost you about 100 to fix.

my abs light went off when i replaced upper and lower intake manifold gaskets , cant tell you how that relates but my light went off im sure you have another issue if you dont have uneven tires or bad bearing or wire to bearing
