2001 Blazer, 4.3L V6. 76,000 miles. Engine exhaust smells rich. I've replaced the O2 sensors & fuel filter but problem persists. What's the next likely source? Leaking fuel pressure regulator, injectors, or other? I just want to eliminate the constant eye watering and rich odor. thanks

THE FUEL PUMP IS BAD.
if your losing fuel pressure after the pump runs the drain back valve in the pump has failed.
and i doubt that you are seeing enough fuel pressure to run a vortec engine.
low fuel pressure equals a non running vortec

check the EGR valve. it might be dirty in side with carbon. DONT GRINE OFF GASKET SCRAP IT OFF.
SOURCE: fuel pressure regulator
Two places to look...if you have separate injectors for each cylinder then regulator should be at the front end of the fuel rail. If you have throttle body injection it is on the throttle body itself.

try the ignition module. if it is bad it does not send the signal for the the throttle body injectors to spray feul.
