The key and remote were lost and I do not want to be without a spare.
I lost my keys in my 2006 Corolla so I'd assume it's a pretty similar situation to your Camry. Since I wasn't able to drive the car from my home to the dealership to have them inspect it, I wrote down the VIN. I also brought in the title to the vehicle, proof of registration, and my drivers license. They were able to replace my key on the spot at the dealership with no real hassle. http://www.brandysafe.com/auto.html
Call your local Toyota Dealer. They're the only ones who can get you another set of keys with remote. Otherwise your key may not work. I have been told that the keys for the new Toyota Camry's have chips inside of them witch talk to the brain to the car so nobody can steel it. So you can't just go to Wal-Mart and get yourself another set... haha. Wish you the best
The best thing is to go to your local toyota dealship! Have your Vin # ( on the lower right hand corner of the windsheild looking from the front of the car). Make sure that you write all the nimbers and letters correctly. They will either order you a new key and key pad or they will have one on site and make it work for your car!!
you are going to have go through the dealer!! its not really that expensive!! Your looking around $75 to $80 i would guess!! You might be able to go to your local walmart and get a key made but you will not have a keyless entry keypad!! but you will not be without a spare key and it would cost you around $2.
