Yesterday, my 2.0 overheated. I got it home, replaced the thermostat today, refilled the coolant, and it is STILL overheating. I have noticed that the two front fans aren't coming on like normal. Are there fuses that work these fans? Are the fans even the problem?
There is a strong possibility that the impellers on the waterpump are broken!!!!. they are made out of plastic and are notorious for breaking. ck this first have seen it countless times. make sure new waterpump has metal impellers.
If engine is overheating, first check and see if you have coolant, add only when engine is cool. If this does'nt work get engine up to temp. then turn on the inside heater if cool air comes out then you most likley will need to replace the water pump.

How do I check to see it they are broken? Can I check it myself? Also, how much does replacing the water pump cost, approx.?
