2001 Sequoia rear brake lights not working

Wired up a reverse backup camera for this last month. Everything was working fine. Now the rear brake lights are not coming on. Checked and "bent over some" all fuses in fuse block. The 2001 fuse block near your foot has trouble sometimes making contact with fuses...bend the ears a little. Nothing happened - all fuses were good. Signal light and reverse lights work. Might be the brake light switch, but that would be weird. Anything else to check?

Check the trailer hitch tap connector in the frame near the rear bumper for corrosion. Use dielectric grease and reconnect the connector

Lok in the trunk on the left side, behind the carpet for a small plastic box with a bunch of wires going to it. Look to see if there is brake light powe coming in with the pedal depressed. If so, and no power is coming out, you need to order and replace the "taillamp failure sensor".

When put in reverse the image is up side down.

How to Reverse the Image on Backup Camera eHow

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT REAR VIEW CAMERAS

After installing a backup camera on your vehicle, you need to reverse the image so that the image on the screen matches that of your rear-view mirror. The orientation must match so that the driver doesn't get confused with two conflicting images. The nature of the camera's technology is that its image will be recorded un-reflected, but the mirror will display a reflected image. Fortunately, the engineers who designed back-up cameras thought of this and created simple controls for you to change the orientation.

How do you disconnect a reverse beeping signal on a 2006 Toyota Sequoia?

I have found the beeper wired into the reverse lights and if you just find the beeper and cut off the wire and cap it you should be fine and no more beep.

How difficult is it to replace the rear disc brakes on a 2001 toyota sequoia? do i have to bleed the brakes?

It is a fairly easy job, just watch carefully how it comes apart, take pictures if necessary. Make sure all sliders work free, so the caliper floats right, or else the new pads will wear out very fast. As long as you don't take any brake lines loose or pull the caliper pistons apart you will not need to bleed the brakes.

Reverse light dont work

On the side of your transmission will be a switch with several wires coming out of it. This is your reverse switch that turns on your reverse lights and most likely needs to be replaced
