2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. AC Blower acting strange.

Upon fresh startup, with blower on high, blower blows as expected. After 5 mins, blower slows down. When I turn right, blower slows way down. When I brake, blower speeds up a bit. Any ideas?

Sounds like either the blower is going out or you have a low voltage with you car

SOURCE: AC Cold air but no volumne of air flow

Check your resister pack, if the air is still cold then the freon is being moved by your compressor and passing through your orfice tube fine so there is the right amount. DO NOT open the system unless you have to, each time it is open they sugggest a dryer/reciecver replacement. The resister pack is a small block about the size of a palm of a hand. It contians a set of coils which conduct electricity at different rates based on that rate <the amount of voltage> your a/c fan will blow that speed. For example high= no resistance, low= 3 reiester if you have 4 settings

SOURCE: Heat/AC Blower fan speed only works on High

Alot of people have the same problem with the fan switch and blown bulbs. There really is no fix for this. Jeep really screwed up when designing the heater control assembly. The cheapest solution is to buy another unit off Ebay. Can always go to the dealer but be ready to PAY for there mistakes.

SOURCE: ac blower won't work. Resistor has been replaced 3 times. I think it is the problem now. Is it easy to replace? Where is it?

Blower motor resistors are found on the pasenger side ducts near the blower motor. It should have three wires going to it.

SOURCE: 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo AC blower wont work on high

I'd check the relay and the resistor ...don't have a location for yours but the resistor is always installed into the heater box so it stays cool. you can usually follow the wiring back to the relay as it's generally nearby. Resistor looks like a piece of circuit board material with several wires connected to it with two screws holding it to the heater box so it sits flush except for the wires. It has several coils inside...any that are broken have failed.

Heater blower not working

You call it the blower motor, I assume you mean the interior Heater/AC blower motor. When the motor acts as you have described it is usually a problem in the motor itself like a short or rectifier.

2000 jeep grand cherokee, only blow out a little air even when the blower on hi,,you have to put your hand next to the vent to feel the air

you may have had something fall down into the defrost vent and it has worked its way down and is blocking the air flow thats trying to come out the vents, near the blower motor.also does it sound like the blower motor is spinning on high speed or at a lower speed, you could have a slow turning blower motor.

My 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee heater only blows air on the high setting, I ohm tested the HVAC fuse under the hood and only get response on 1 leg.

when the blower motor resistor fails the blower switch defaults to the high position. autozone.com has a great tutorial on how to replace the blower motor resistor.

realfixesrealfast.com has a segment on blower motor resistors.

1995 Grand Jeep Cherokee

The lower speeds are controlled by a resistor block. That's what needs to be replace. It's usually located next to the blower. It will have electrical wires connected to it. High speed bypasses the block so it alway works.
If you want to replace it then;
) Disconnect the battery negative terminal if the vehicle have air bags. Wait 2 minutes for system to discharge.
) Remove the kick block on the passenger side. )Remve the glove box ) Remove the bolts holding the blower motor resistor. Push the red lock up and press down on the click ) Pull the block out. ) Install new block and reverse steps above.

1998 Grand Cherokee blower not working

Check blower fuse, relay and power at blower motor harness terminal. Check for proper grounding at dashboard and body as well. Yo
good lucku can run a hot wire to the blower motor and touch it to the connector spade to check if blower itself is OK. There are other components in the system, but this is a good start! Don't forget...fuses blow because there is a problem elsewhere. If you replace one and it blows again, there is something else wrong!
