Same dillema, how do I reset the Service B message in a MB ML350?

I am going to change the oil myself because Mercedes charges $480 for this service and I'm turning in my lease in 3 months. I don't want to spend all that money on a car I need to turn in very soon but I do know I need to change the oil so the car continues to run smoothly. What I don't know is how to reset the Service B message. Can someone please help? Step by step directions would be greatly appreciated...thanks :)

If you are turning in the vehicle in 3 months I wouldn't worry about changing the oil. In the old days, they use to say change it every 6,000 miles and then as a way to make more money, they started saying every 3,000 miles. But if you really want to reset your computer, unplug your negative cable from your battery terminal and leave it off for five minutes. On a mercedes, they are very advanced piece of work, but doing this may give you another message regarding losing power, so do this at your own risk.

How to reset a 2012 ML350 A3 service warning

you need to use the diagnostic program too do this step after a full service
ie check and replace brake pads and fuel filters paper filter oil and fluids and filters then reset its ecu

try to ask the local garages who has the right cable and tools and ask them to either do the full service and reset it
or reset it if youve done a service
this only comes on at a major service point or if the ecu detects an issue so is not just a short service
anything from worn pads to bad oil presure can cause this too trigger as well as miles count

2004 ml350 wrench code 2d what is it

Hello, The Wrench is telling you that your car is due for Service, Simply an oil change and some inspections are due. The 2D means that the service is due in 2 days. Hope that helps, You can go to a Mercedes dealer but they are way over priced, I would recommend finding a local independent Mercedes shops. Usually they are run by Technicians who worked at the dealers anyway. Just FYI.

AFTER OIL CHANGE MY ML350 OIL HI LIGHT IS ON AND WHITE SMOKE IS COMING FROM THE EXHAUST

They may have added too much oil -- a 2004 MB ml350 with a 3.7L engine should take only 8.5 Quarts (including what goes in the oil filter) -- Exactly 8.5 Quarts, no more, no less. You may be able do check the oil level by using the onboard computer - pushing the buttons on the steering wheel - follow the directions in the owners manual on how to check the oil level.

My mercedes Benz cls 500 has service D due... Does that mean it needs an oil change? because i gave it an oil change about 10,000 miles ago

Mercedes uses a service schedule with the letters A-H to denote the relevent maintenance recommended.A is the basic oil service and H is the most inclusive. The intermediate letters correspond to proportional services. The service light should be reset at the completion of the service. This can be done via interface or using the controls and menus on the steering wheel. The specific format for resetting is different for different years and models.Alldata is fairly accurate for reset guidelines, but is not correct on some.Make sure to use synthetic oil in all newer MB,especially with extended oil change intervals.
