2003 jetta vw control module airbag location

Where is the location for the airbag control module? I need to replace mine since a side impact fried the unit according to vw. I received the part and need to install it. I've already replaced the airbags in the seats and had them resewn, replaced the side curtain airbags, and replaced both front seatbelts. I understand this is all I have left to do. Unless you are aware of more?

SOURCE: airbag light stays on in

You need to access the Airbag ECU (Electronic Control Module) using suitable diagnostic equipment connected to the data link connector of the car in order to erase all faults - DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) memored, unlock and reset the Airbag ECU. Then the Airbag light will turn OFF after approx. 4 seconds, ignition ON.
Good Luck!

Airbag control module on a 2010 jetta where is located

Hi. It is under the dash on top of the centre tunnel in the very front of the interior cabin. This needs to be coded when fitted. The battery must be disconnected during replacement. This is a very sensitive unit and should only be replaced by trained or experienced technicians. There is danger of injury as static can deploy the airbags if not worked on correctly!

Where is the airbag module located on 2004 vw jetta

The airbag module is a serious safety device and should not be tampered with. The entire air bag system ie module , air bags, seat belt tensioners etc are treated as one unit and there fore not a serviceable item or part replacement there of. The module should be located in the bowels of the dashboard (yellow wiring ) and mounter to the bulkhead. Do NOT tamper or adjust any componants.Good luck
