It could be electrical or may be a fuel pump failure fule pump requires dropping fuel tank cost around $600.00. always get an estimate as well as all your old parts.

Check to see are your brake light working! if not you have a faulty brake light switch - 10 min repair job at your local VW service centre. With no brake lights you'll need to get it seen to ASAP!!

SOURCE: warning lights

You need to have your brakes inspected by a professional. The lights indicate that ABS and traction control are not working...although brakes will work without these features, a humming noise can indicate more problems to come.

SOURCE: have a vw touareg 2005, esp light stays on and car

the esp light is caused by failure of the brake light switch in most models. check your brake light operation and replace the switch if the brake lights have failed. the switch is found in the footwell above the brake pedal

Dodge durango shuts down without warning

Hello
The engine and transmission in this cars drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPEDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM

I have a 2005 Ford Taurus. The "check transmission" alert came on. When I shut the car off and turn on, the light went away.

Hi,

Sometimes, warning lights can be intermittant.

This warning indicates a fault has ocurred within your transmission.
Your car's computer will have stored this fault in its memory.
It is VERY important that you have your computer diagnostics checked for the transmision fault, as leaving it too long can cause other problems.

Take your vehicle to your local Ford dealership and have them scan for codes (only take about 20mins).

Cheers,

MY AUDI STARTED TO LOSE POWER AND THE YELLOW EMISSIONS WARNING LIGHT CAME ON, WHAT IS THE PROBLEM, CAN THE CAR STILL BE DRIVEN

Emission can be an 02 sensor or catalic converter or fuel related problem. You need to have the codes read and go from there. You can drive the car, but you will damage the catalic converter after time. And it will eventually shut down on you.
