what size engine this vehicle has? if it is a 2.4 inspect timing belt, also you may remove spark plug and inspect air pressure coming out of cylinder while cranking engine

Hello, The first thing we need to is see what fault codes are setting. With the
doors closed cycle the key from off to on three times ending with it on
and watch the digital odometer display. Don't crank the engine, just
off to on. The codes start with a P and have four numbers, there may be
more than one stored. Write down any that you see and post them here.

Check your EGR valve and your IAC Idle Air Control valve make sure both are functioning correctly

Ok, check the following below--
1. Check the Ignition control Module for its operational value. it may be damaged.
2. Check the coils.
3. Check the plugs and wires.
4. Check the ECM/PCM/ECU(All represent the same device that is commonly known as the engine control computer)
Check these areas thoroughly for faults. I would also advise to replace the fuel filter and fuel pump as well.
