I had the same problem at about the same mileage. Replaced the power steering pump and the start up screaming went away! ( The Jeep's and mine!)

It may be a bearing on one of your pulleys. The most often culprit is the idler pulley. Loosen belt and hand turn all of them to see if you feel resistance.

indicates what you suspect
the noise could be sump pressure trying to pass the faulty PCV valve and pressure in the sump will blow oil out of weak seal and gaskets

My auxiliary makes a whining noise on the radio on my 08 Jeep Liberty.Any ideas?

auxiliary now that really begs, a real NOUN.
really all things attached to and engine could be called auxiliary.
P./S
AC
ALT
idler there.
I guess he means the ALternator
and all ALT's do that,it's a 3phase alternator, with diodes that rectify these pulsed to pulsating DC, (noise)
the battery sucks up most this noise.. fact.

if one diode in the Alt SHORTS,OR OPENS,then NOISE GOES BALLISTIC,
I'm a radio man ( MIL and others)
car radio
ham radio
cb radio.
as you rac the engine ,the noises , a whine increases in tone.
tell you its ALT.
if ALT is OK on a SCOPE
then we add high pass filter to the radio power lead.

there are 2 paths here
power (conducted path)
and antenna (radiated path)

Sounds as if your 4x4 actuator failed to get all the way out of 4 wheel drive. Try shifting in and out of 4WD, backing up some, etc. You may have to replace the actuator, or some part of that system. Could be time for dealer diagnosis.

A noise like that is somewhat serious...It could be from low power steering fluid, low transmission fluid or even the starter remaining engaged. You need to find the source of the noise right away to avoid major damage!!!
