well
why buy this car?, if it has IMMO locked , that can be super expensive to fix. that only Honda dealers can fix.
most be some deal, I'd bed $100 on it
no proof engine or tranny works.
and IMMO bricked. strike 3 no buy ME.
no body told at all
DX, EX or wagon? no engine size told V6? wiring varies by........yah
A/t or M/T transmission,?>???
the first clue of trouble is dash board,
security lamp glowing
glowing wrong as the users guide free tells it/
seems , me reading SM the starter does crank even if IMMO is not happy so it cuts spark (+ fuel) dead. IMMO blocks.
here it is, if there, finding documents in this factory option is not easy( if spark or fuel is cut by this ,the PCM does that)
I have a 1995 Accord, it starts fine. When you let the key go, it turns off. My brother noticed that if you push the key in a little and then turn it there is a "click". If you hear the click it will stay started. Without the click the car will just turn off. I could sit in the car and hold the key and it will stay running.
Its as if the key will not hold its position.
hi from uk from what you say the symptoms on starting problem this would indicate that your ignition system is ballast resistance ie the ign is running on 8 or 9 volts when engine running but to assist initial start ups the ignition boosts to 12 volts when you turn key to start position ok so far?? soas you say the engine appears to start/run on the key start/12v boost but when you release from key start engine stops? so the ballast 8-or9 volt ign circuit is not there to continue running engine ok ?? now not sure which system of ballast resistor ign your car has but it is either ballast resistor coil or a seperate ballast block on the low tension wiring on route to the distributor? look on the inner wings close to distributor location and follow wire from dissy back to coil hope this helps?
