The turn signal switch is located in the center of the steering column. The steering wheel needs to be removed and other parts inside the steering column. I think you should take it to the local repair shop.

1995 GMC Jimmy brake lights not working

Brake lights run through the hazzard switch. There are known problems with this, and the multifunction switch. You may need to buy a new hazzard switch and OR the multifunction switch. Before you do that, check the pigtail that goes into the brake switch up by the fender, make sure it's not shorting out up there. Happened to me!

Turn on the car then click the signal light and nothing!!! no tic to light nothing could it be the signal light switch or a fuse?? please help!!

Try the flasher unit first, checking it costs nothing. Turn on your emergency flashers and if they work, get your owners manual and find the fuse panel locations. Inside the manual or the panel cover there will be a legend as to what is what. You will have two flasher units, one for turn signals and the other emergency flashers. They are the same units so just switch them, if your turn signals now work, but your flashers don't, then you have a bad flasher unit. Go buy another at any auto parts store and put it in the correct socket, you rarely use the emergency flashers so you want your new one in the turn signal circuit.

If that does not do it then you may have a broken switch which requires pulling the steering wheel off to fix. That is not an owner service thing. One bad light bulb is not going to knock them all out.

My turn signals have stopped working. I replaced a bulb, thinking that was the problem but they still dont work. I think it may be the actual turn signal switch (in the steering column) but was wondering...

The flasher relay is mounted in the main fuse panel under the dash, driver's side. Are the lights coming on at all, or is there nothing ? it is possible that you may have a bad ground wire to the signals. Do the emergency hazards work ( lighting up and flashing?)If so, then your ground is good and it could very well be the flasher. You should be able to switch the emergency flasher for the turn flasher for a test of the circuit. The flashers should be mounted side by side in the fuse panel - just exchange them and test. If so, keep the emergency flasher there and take the turn flasher in to replace. The parameters should be the same so you can just leave the E. flasher relay in place and out the turn flasher where the E. flasher was.

LEFT TURN LIGHTS WILL NOT WORK ON 1993 TROOPER

believe it or not, a 4 way flasher can cause this even if it itself is working properly, otherwise flasher, bulbs, or switch is bad .
