After small impact car wouldn't start
Hello Anon...under your hood you will find a relay box and perhaps a fuse box. Check under the lid of the relay box for the location of the fuel pump relay or consult your owners manual for more details.
Thank you, the relay is behind the facia below the steering wheel, I do not believe the relay is the problem. The pump stopped working and as a result may have blown the fuse. Problem is there are numerous fuse locations, I have checked out the fuses next to the battery and all the other fuses I could find with no success. The workshop manual I have shows diagrams of typical fuse board layouts but nothing specifically relating to my vehicle, hence my enquiry. Thanks again.
Hi Alan Found this info : No34-SD34-(On fuse Panel D) 15A J538-Fuel Pump (FP) Control Module(AXX,BPY,BLF,BLR,BLY,BLX,BVX,BVY,BVZ,BWA)
I Hope this helps.

Check out #19 OR check out #8. The fuse should be a BLUE 15a fuse. They are located in FUSE BOX B under the hood on the driver's side. For some reason VW varied the fuse locations from car to car and year to year. None of the fuse panel fuse locations match what your manual says. So there may or may not be any fuses in slots #8 or #19. Either way, you're looking for a blue 15amp fuse - so check all of the blue ones to see if any are blown.

I don't mind helping, but have you had it scanned for codes? If so, what are they and are you nioticing any other symptoms?

How long are you cranking for,if you have allowed to run out of fuel, it needs to be primed, try pouring diesel into the fuelfilter, but I used tohave the 110bhp AFN passat and it would start after cranking for a while and then cut out, then start but possibly cut out again, then start and give it some throttle, should be fine after that.

If light is on at start up its usually a glow plug gone .Won't make any differance to driving. You should get a diagnostic scan done which will tell you which plug is at fault.
