My 2002 Ford Taurus has a soaking wet passenger floor! I have run the A/C for an hour when I noticed this..it was just slightly wet and then I drove home an hour and it was soaking. Help! I need to fix this myself and I am a nurse, not a mechanic. Can anyone tell me how to remedy this myself?
Sounds like the AC condenser drain is plugged. Do you notice a puddle under the right front while idling with the AC running? If not, the drain is plugged should be an easy and cheap fix at any local garage.
Besides my carpet, can this ruin anything? I have planned for a long time to take my grandbaby to Zoo and I doubt mechanic can/will get it in time!!! HELP!!
Usually no real damage but you should go to a car wash and use their vacuum to get up as much water as possible. The drain can be hard to get to so you will probably need to go to a garage where they can put it on a lift to clean the drain (assuming that is the problem). Does the inside of the car smell like antifreeze? If so it could be a leaking heater core, (NOT what you want).

look on the back of the sleeve the serpentine belt came in...it should have multiple diagrams showing the setup you just have to choose the one for your engine. to replace unbolt the back of the alternator remove the belt and work backwards to install belt.
you have to pull on the belt to get give from the tensioner unless you have the required tool... it makes it A LOT easier but nothing a little elbow grease cannot handle

If it's not the thermostat I have seen this happen numerous times in Fords. The engineers, in their infinite wisdom, placed the heater core HIGHER than the engine block. The coolant gets low and ya get an air pocket in the core. The fix...drain cooling system, remove t-stat and drill a small hole in the flat part, reinstall it with hole straight up (It's an air bleed, if ya didn't figure that out), refill the system NOT THE REGULAR WAY!!!! Remove the hose that runs from the engine to the heater core. Use a funnel and SLOWLY pour coolant in, until the reservoir is full. This will eliminate the air lock in the core.

you may need a car electrician as these things need troubleshooting.the only thing you can do is by checking all fuses however if other gauges and indicator lights are working then the fuse for the inst. cluster is ok.the speedometer has a sensor installed on the transmission while the odometer gets signal from the ECU so these two problems need separate solution

First I would suggest you try to get a print out from the dealer for the computer test they did on the car. The computer test should have given them a very good idea of what was wrong before they started fixing anything. Also what they fixed should be under warrantee. If you are still having the same problem, it should have been something they addressed in the beginning.
