If it jerks going up the hill I would sugest plugs, leads, coil etc... If not when was your fuel filter last changed? Also check for split intake tube or loose intake clamps.

SOURCE: need to replace alternator in 2002 kia Rio 5

I just changed my brothers on a 2001 kia rio. You have to go from the bottom. There is a tensioning adjustment on the top you have to undo, as well as a bolt on bottom. It is hard to get it out because there is not a lot of room, i remember it hitting either a p/s line or the rack, and being frustrated. I used a floor jack and block of wood under the engine and jacked it up to reposition it. It gave me enough room to get it out. Remove the bottom bolt and disconnect the wiring from it and it should drop out with some effort. Getting it back in was harder. Once you get it back into position connect the wiring before you bolt it up all the way, put the lower bolt in, put the belt on, then back to the adjustment on top. Make sure everything is tight and you should be done.

Why my 2002 kia rio stalles out everytime i step on the acceleration and keeps getting worse i changed spark pluggs and air filter and fuel filter please help me oh and everytime i go up hills i loss speed...

you need to check your fuel pressure at the rail with a gauge. But to me it sounds like the spark plug boots . If they crack or split it will cause symptoms just like yours, mostly shaking while under load. Since you already changed the plugs change the boots or wires too.

I had the head gasket replaced in my 2002 Kia Rio. Now I lose power when I go up hill. What could be causing this?

Excessive back pressure due to a clogged catalytic converter would be the first thing i would check. In fact, that could be related to the head gasket failure you had....

Car want pulls hills or any inclines vey well 2005

P0304 code is a cylinder 4 misfire. If the plugs or wires are bad it will cause a decrease in power. I suggest changing the plugs and wires and see if that helps.
