Can not remove ignition key on 1994 Chrylser Concorde

I can not remove my ignition key on a 1994 Chrylser Concorde. The key works fine for starting the vehicle, however this morning I shut off the car and it would not turn all the way to the off position. I am not able to remove the key. The oil light stays lit as if I were going to start the car. Is there some sort of safety switch that prevents the key from being removed? (possibly a faulty switch is activating the safety to not allow the key to be removed?)

1994 chrysler concorde cuts off fuel and spark while driving

It's very possible you have a bad ignition switch. My '96 LXi had the same problem, plus it tended to randomly drop into "Limp Mode" at any speed.

After replacing the ignition switch (3 years ago) neither of those problems has resurfaced.

The Ignition Key assembly has a loose wire at the back. Remove it and fix the wires. The other possibility is that your Ignition Key assembly is faulty or damaged. Sometimes, if the wrong key is inserted, it could cause permanent damage of this kind.
These apply to all cars.

Rear strut install

I have a 1999 Chrysler LHS and have had the rear struts done for me. You have to remove the back seats to get at them. I know its not the total solution, but it should put things in a better perspective for you.

94 concorde ignition/electrical?

make sure the battery cables are touching metal to metal. Sometimes the rubber around the battery cable can get pinched in between and not letting a good contact. You could also place a washer between the cable and the battery.  If this does not help try banging your solenoid while someone else tries and turn over the vehicle. Make sure your solenoid is not shorting out.
After you have tackled these tasks and you still are having problems, then I would expect ignition
