I can not remove my ignition key on a 1994 Chrylser Concorde. The key works fine for starting the vehicle, however this morning I shut off the car and it would not turn all the way to the off position. I am not able to remove the key. The oil light stays lit as if I were going to start the car. Is there some sort of safety switch that prevents the key from being removed? (possibly a faulty switch is activating the safety to not allow the key to be removed?)
You will need to replace the ignition what you do it place the key in the on position and remove the sterring wheel cover and there is a pin you must push in with a pointed odject once you have the pin in just pull the ignition out and place the new one in thats it the new one will snap in to place once it is pushed back in to place
