What causes the drivers side tire to tilt outward

well if its a nascar race car your speaking about then that's called Positive camber !!! and it makes you go faster in the turns ! cus there always turning left !!! if its not a race car your speaking of , then you have a bent front axle it will make the tire loose traction easier and it will make tire wear out faster

I have a 04 saab my pass wheel is leaning in. Why?

Have the alignment checked for a camber issue. Have you hit anything recently ( curb/pothole ) that may have caused this issue? Camber angles, if not in specification will cause tire wear and pulling. Most but not all vehicles have a provision for camber adjustment. Worst case scenerio is something is bent and may have to be replaced to correct your problem

On my 2000 sierra the front passenger tire leans inward on the top n there is no brakes what can it all be

did you hit a curb or pot hole on that side? this can cause the leaning wheel. also if the camber shim or adjustment is loose will cause it also. no brakes sounds like a brake fluid leak if you talking about the same side or if its both sides it could be the master cylinder.

How do you fix the camber on a 02 sable?

Are you sure it's the 'camber' needs adjusting? Camber is the measured distance between the two front wheels at the top AND the bottom, measured ACROSS the car.
The most common adjustment used is 'Toe'. It's the same method of measurement as camber BUT is at the Front and Rear edges of the front wheels. (Think of your own feet. toes in, / \. Toes out, \ /).
That hit you mentioned to the left side of the car might also have bent something else, like suspension or chassis.
Get a GOOD wheel alignment specialist to look at it.

not a lower control arm problem
the wheel alignment guy is not lying

the front wheel drive only has tow in toe out adjustments
no camber adjustments
the frame is pre stressed at manufacture set at zero

if the shock tower frame on any front wheel drive gets bent up.... even a little bit
the camber will be way out
even front ride height may be way out on each front side

too dangerous to drive
the car is a write off

only good to sell for parts or buy the same model and swap over its good bits

if you like the car a lot
to correct the damage needs the front chassis stripped back to frame and put on a frame straightener

You have a major amount of positive camber. You car must be undrivable. Did you hit something? You need to get it into a suspension centre and find out what has been bent.

Camber is the lean "off perpendicular" of the wheel. This error could be worn control arm bushings or something bent from a collision or pothole curb hit. Jack up the car from the lower control arm, not the frame. This will keep weight on the front suspension same as if it's on the ground. With the tire about 2 inches off the ground and the car wheels chocked safely, now you can check for wear. Do not get under the car !!!! Use about a 2 foot steel bar or pipe, placed under the wheel. Now lifting up see if there is loosness , clunking of the wheel or movement of the control arm bushings.

was your car in a wreck since you have own it?
that would be the only way anyone could bend steering or suspension parts.if your tires are leaning out on top,
it would be a part called"lower control arm assembly",
if you stand in front of your car with the steering wheel straight,and your tires are pointing in on each side,or pointed out instead of straight,that would be a "tie rod "
there is an inner tie rod and an outer tie rod end.
you need to take your car to a shop that does alignments,and have them tell you exactly what is wrong,you can even get lower control arm assemblies
from a salvage yard.but do yourself a favor and don't take your car to a MONROE or MIDAS type shop,they are only there to sell and make commissions! Find a normal shop that the owner is the mechanic.

Suspension

That's known as negative camber (positive camber would be if the top of the tire were leaning outward). This should be able to be fixed with an alignment as long as the suspension isn't damaged (ie, a bent control arm due to an accident or a hard hit on a curb, pothole, etc).

Check if the Strut is NOT bent.
Or if the car was not involved on accidente on the front.
Check the Comdittion of the Lower Ball joint, LOwer control arm.

Check if the Camber in your car is adjustable.
Removing the Tire and removing the Bolt that hold the Strut in position. If the Holes in the Strut are Like Oval, is adjustable.
But if NOT. Some Autoparts SELL a Camber kit. That include
New bolt and washers.

But if you Don't want to spend money on the KIT.
Remove the Tire , Remove the 2 Bolt that hold the Strut.
And make the Holes A little oval the holes .
Move a little at front and rear. For make the strut adjustable.
POSITIVE or NEGATIVE..

Camber is changed by moving the bolts the hold the strut to the knuckle find more that the strut and or knuckle get bent

there is no adjustment from the factory, but a really good front end tech can make it adjustable, suggest you take it to the Toyota dealer.

get a front end alignment IMMEDIATELY. Something is not correct and could break off while driving. If a garage replaced the tie rod, make them align it as they should have done.
