SOURCE: Where is Bank 1 Sensor 2 located on a 2004 Mazda
bank 1 is the bank of cylinders closest to the firewall. the sensor will be located along the exhuast from that side after the catylitic converter
SOURCE: where is bank 2 sensor 1 oxygen sensor on a 2001
In
a V6 or V8 engine the driver's side cylinders are one bank and the
passenger side, the other bank. I would imagine "Bank 2" is the side without the the #1 cylinder on it. The sensor is screwed into the exaust manifold which is bolted to the cylinder head. "Sensor 1" denotes it from the downstream (post catalytic converter) sensor(s), which is referred to as "Sensor 2"
Hope helps.
SOURCE: Where are 'Bank one' 'Sensor one'
if it's a four cylinder motor it only has one bank of cylinders, sensor one is going to be the one before the catalytic converter, should be visible under the hood. if it is a V6 then bank one is going to be the one closest to the very front of the vehicle, again sensor one is going to be the one BEFORE the catalytic converter.
