I have a clicking noise (sounds like a component that moves?) when driving over bumps or high speed. It's quite frequent but not always in time with the speed increase or bumps!! I really seems to be coming from the top of the cabin, passenger side - you can almost feel a slight click if you hold the roof handle that side! Any ideas what could be loose in that area that causes this?!
The only clicking sounds I'm aware of come from the top of the strut mount bearings that are worn out on older vehicles that tend to have over like 80,000 miles on them during certain turning or bumps. I don't know of that helps you or not.
thank you Mark, appreciate you looking over the problem. Do you have much knowledge on what could "click" behind the headliner material in that area? I peeled it back and saw a metal block which I suspect is soldered to the roof of the main body to provide a base to screw the interior roof passenger handles into.. is there anything in this area that could be the cause? Btw, it's certainly a sharp click vs. a suspension sound.

SOURCE: Clicking noise coming from under
You have a blend door motor that bad. The clicking noise is probably the motor turing and grinding the gears...Prob should take too a shop for a diag to be sure...Some of them things are pretty hard to get to

you may be low on gear oil...have someone check it for you before the rear end locks up

most likely the blower motor squirrel cage hit the fan housing or the motor has a damaged bearing from the impact, the noise is coming from the fan which is on the passenger side, pull the fan assembly out and see if the blower cage is damaged, if it spins true then replace the blower motor, not a very hard job.

I dont know if it works the same, but I drive a 2006 Mitsu Lancer Ralliart. When you push the recirc air button, a little motor closes a little gate that blocks outside air and pulls the air from the interior instead. The blower motor is located behind the glovebox. It is secured by a couple screws.
I guess its possible that a foreign object such as a leaf or something is touching the blower motor and causing the noise.

I have investigated but with no luck, a "click" sound that happens on the passenger side when the car goes over uneven road surface (it doesn't have to be a major pot hole.. just regular bumps in the road!)
The click sounds like something might not be fasted tight enough behind interior ceiling material (when you hold the passenger ceiling handle you can feel a vibration each time the click happens). Can anybody shed any light around what could need tightening up, or what could be causing it.. ?? I thank you all in advance.
