Question about 1997 Mercury Sable
My 1996 Merc. Mystique is acting strangely-the rear brake (pass.side) is on/actuating when it's not supposed to be/when I come to a stop,as well when I begin to go forward, the brake is on,making a ''shuddering''? noise, and holding the car back,in part. What to do about this? Note: The car has been sitting for 5 months> I would certainly appreciate any advice/help in this matter,Thank you!,Brian Hall west la,email@example.com or (310) 902-2182

Check the condition of the wheel bearings, front and back side if the brake rotor, and the back side of the rim. Everything should be clean, rust build-up can throw everything out of true. The hub or wheel-bearing should be tight and smooth when spun.

SOURCE: Rear brake lights remain on.
just simply unplug connector from brake switch located at base of brake pedal, if lights go out switch is bad, if lights do not go out you have a short to power on brake lamp circut before turn signal switch
