Will start and run for a few minutes them die, can hear fuel pump kicking in

is this a supper cahrged grand prix if so check fuel pump resistor located behind right front head light or on fire wall its made of white ceramic has to wires going to it jump the two wire on the connection going to it if it runs longer then 15 min then replace resiustor.

more than likely your fuel pump went out. spray a small amount of fuel (like 1 or 2 ccs from a syringe, or similer device) into your intake, and try starting it. If it fires, but doesn't continue to run, then it's not getting fuel. The fuel pump is the most common problem. You can also try to "wake up" the fuel pump by hitting the fuel tank with your hand (underneath the back of the car) and trying it again. If it works, then remember, it is only a temporary thing...it WILL quit again, and probably for good, so don't drive it anywhere you can't handle being stuck. Other possible problems; fuel pump relay, bad injector, and ignition fault. The prime that you give it will determine which direction to go. If you prime it wiith a little fuel and it doesn't fire, look at your ignition system. If it does, then the ignition is working fine; you need to look at the fuel system.
