While driving the truck all of the interrior lights shut off. I drove about 10 feet and the truck shut off. It would not start again. We changed batteries and drove the truck home. We bough and installed a new alternator and still the truck will not start. What could the problem be?

I don't know how you figured out that your battery was good, but if it drops to 9 volts I highly suspect that it is bad. You need to have it load tested. This will tell if it is bad under load.
Also if it is bad it can cause the alternator not to work even if the alternator is brand new.

that fuse feeds power to fuel pump relay circuit that feeds pump could be defective pump,or damaged circuit wires that shorts out! and not a good idea to put higher fuse in circuit could cause more damage to circuit! but i know when your stuck, u do what it takes,so inspect circuit related to fuse,

oh ok this is simple u need to put a new fuel filter on there it has a bad fuel filter on there try that out if not it is the fuel pump but try the fuel filter after that and the fuel pump if it still has a problem it is the gauge and try to put mid grade cause it causes less break downs for your car cause it doesnt mess up ur fuel filter

Some problems with the ignition switches are pretty common with GM cars and trucks. With the key in the 'on' position, jiggle the key around and see if you get some erratic gauge operation or a shut-down.

Not to well versed on the S-10 electrical system but I would take a look at the voltage regulator.
It sounds like there is a malfunction that charges your battery sometimes but shorts out the alternator other times. Try having it tested or replace it
WD-40 will not do the trick for cleaning your terminals. WD-40 was developed during the 2nd WW to combat moisture in radio equipment in the South Pacific. WD stands for water displacement and the 40 is for formula #40. To clean the terminals you must disconnect them and use an abrasive such as emery cloth to remove the corrosion. They should be brite and shiny when you put them back together. I always cote mine wit dei-electric grease before re-assembly

It is starting but will not charge the battery. Battery is good and alternator has been replaced.
Driving down the Interstate at night and the Battery light came on then every thing shut down. Had a friend jump start it and it started but died shortky after.
Have you checked the positive battery cable to see if the insulation has torn or cracked? After checking that you might want to check to see if it is properly grounded.
